The wash basin should be in the north east corner as per Kitchen Vastu. If you wish to have a dining table, inside the kitchen, it can be in the north west corner or the west side of the room.

Kitchen appliances are to be placed in a proper order and complaint to kitchen vastu. accordingly, the mixer, grinder and oven should find their place near the south wall. Of the other things, especially, light weight articles can be kept in the east or the north. If a freezer is in the kitchen, it should be in the south-east, the south, the west or the north direction.

The colour of the floor and the walls of the kitchen should be yellow, orange, rose, chocolate or red. This helps in bringing the right ambience to the room. However, as far as possible avoid black or white colours in the kitchen.
The freezer should not be in the north-east direction, according to Kitchen vastu. But, if kept in the south-west direction, the freezer, should be a feet away from the corner otherwise it always gets out of order.

As per recommendations on vastu, the second best option for placing the kitchen is the west or north west direction. But, if the kitchen is in the north-east direction, it results in higher mental tension and one may suffer great losses. If the kitchen is in the south-west direction, life at home becomes difficult because of clashes.
