The most important point to note here is that a bathroom should be easy to access and should be in proximity to the main house.
Vastu for bathroom – External aspects
The ideal location for an external bathroom as per Vastu is the west direction, and this can be done with the support of the west compound wall. Likewise, a southwest bathroom in the west direction can also be in line or support the west compound wall.
If it is in the south direction then it can be together with the south compound wall. Similarly, a bathroom in the southwest, towards the south direction can have the support of the south compound wall. An external bathroom can be in the southwest touching the southwest compound wall.
What to avoid
A bathroom should not be the east touching the eastern compound wall. Also, a bathroom in the east touching the southeast wall is definitely not advisable.
An external bath in the north with the support of the northern compound wall is a definite “no” as per bathroom Vastu. Neither should it be constructed with the support of the northeast compound wall.
Attached bathroom and Vastu
Now, let us look at the Vastu specification of an internal bathroom. It is definitely Vastu compliant to have an attached bathroom that can be in the north direction of the bedroom. Also, there is nothing wrong with having an attached bathroom in the east of the bedroom. It is better not to have an attached bathroom towards the northeast direction of the building.
